Discussion Culture
This is a game about how discussion culture sometimes seems to work in today's political climate. 30 individuals meet to discuss their views, and it is your task to guide them. But be careful! The steady stream of news influences how people feel, and if any of them feel neglected or upset, consequences might be... not what you expect. At all costs you must avoid that the overall opinion becomes too divided, or the world could break apart.
Controls:
WASD to move.
SPACE to interact with people. Interacting works as follows: interact with one person to select them. Interact with a second person to make them talk with each other.
Bugs: As submission are locked for now, we currently can not fix any bugs. We will still point them out here, so you may have a better idea of what is going on.
- A small fraction of characters may be invisible on spawn.
- On some browsers, the game will crash when a Game Over is triggered. Since the game is over at that point anyway, there is not much impact of this. However, you would have seen a short sequence of the world breaking apart.
- Later news messages may be bugged as they start coming in faster and faster. This is a purely visual bug.
- As you may notice, the game name shown in the bottom right is different from the intended one. Apologies for this, one of our team members thought it would be funny at the time...

Additional disclaimer:
The game is a satirical take on how politics may sometimes turn out in today's social climate. Rather than offending anyone with this showcase, the game's intention is to encourage questioning this view. Any references or similarities to real events are purely coincidental.
